The Birth of a Critter
By Diana Campos
Tides crash and wave, at the base of one cute shell
Tears well at the site of bright light, life in creation.
Waves wash over emotions, cuteness on the rise
Eyes gather round, motioning to the one cute shell.
One fuzzy ear at a time, rising from the glimmer;
Shell is cracking, critters huddled at the sight.
Winds fly over our centerfold critter, her hair flowing.
Flowers in bloom, sweet insects hovering in display.
Our critter’s figure, center of shell, fixated by bystanders;
Nature releasing angels for such a sight to behold
Her seashell, abundant with flowers and gaze
A sight so gentle, a simple splendor for critter kind
Angels robe our critter, new critter in glow to release;
So to behold the creation of critter life,
The welcoming of Spring renewal.
