‘Jellyous’ Adjective, Noun
When one wants what someone else has, typically with no regard to reality or understanding of why someone else has that thing.
The Beast
Jellyous -ness can come in many shapes and forms just as a wolf can disguise itself as a lamb.
A wolf that disguises itself as a lamb refuses to see the beauty of its fur, its claws, and its howl. A lamb can graze, a wolf must hunt. If a wolf pretends to be a lamb and begins to graze with the other lambs it will grow hungry and the lambs who are themselves will be the perfect targets.

The Inconsistency

The wolf is unhappy. The wolf wants to have a sweater made out of its fur. It wants slit pupils. It wants to be anything other than what it is. Maybe its mother didn’t lick its fur enough, maybe the other wolves said it was too small, we will never know because all the wolf speaks of sheep.

The Wolf has claws. The wolf has power. The sheep tremble before the wolf. The wolf is a predator. The wolf can sing to the moon. The wolf can tread through the snow. The wolf is a friend. The wolf is a lover. The wolf is loved by many.

KILL THE BEAST
One day, the Wolf spoke to the lamb.
WOLF: I don’t like you.
LAMB: That’s okay.
WOLF: You are not upset?
LAMB: No. I do not need you to like me.
WOLF: Why not?
LAMB: Because I like myself, and that is enough.
WOLF: But I can’t like myself. I have nothing to like.
LAMB: That can’t be true. Everyone has something about themself to like.
WOLF: It is easy for you to say, you have soft wool that everyone wants to touch.
LAMB: Yes, and you have eyes that let you play at night.
WOLF: But those are not the same.
LAMB: Yes, they are not the same, but they are unique to us.
WOLF: I am not the same as you, but I am unique to me.
LAMB: And that is enough.
WOLF: And that is enough.
